I love making pancakes for my hosts…
I was in Poznan and after few hours walking around in cold with Evelyn I found this great dog friendly restaurant.
Excellent and friendly service, very good borscht soup
and
amazing hot chocolate with local monks liquer 😀
The prices were so reasonable like the rest of Poland, country that I would highly recommend. Great people, amazing and rich history and architecture and much more…
Next visit in Poznan I will take someone to try Republika Roz hot chocolate… yummy
We spend our last day in Poznan in walks, relaxing time with our hosts and sharing some pancakes.
While they were studying I spent hours on their laptop updating blog and sending request for couch in Wroclaw.
Late at night we took a train to Wroclaw and on the waz we got a message from our host Adrian in Wroclaw.
Even though I haven’t seen many people regarding my project, we had great time in Poznan and made new friends.
Sometimes you start a day full of enthusiasm and expectation but things don’t go the way you planned or hoped. Our second day in POZNAN was a bit like this. I went out early with Evelyn to explore the city and walked to BARKA organization office, but I couldn’t find anyone there. Hopefuly I will get some info from them through email and phone. I continued searching for places following the list I got in a tourist info office.
At the end I manage to see someone in Red Cross Poznan and we talked about their projects and I got a lot of material in Polish 😀
Afterwards I found a nice place to have some warm food that is dog friendly…
in Republika Roz I had a traditional borsch and a delicious hot chocolate with local monks liquer 😀
We were both rested and we spend the rest of the afternoon walking around the city. Later I made some food for our hosts and we went for a walk with our new friend Anna…
We have woken up very early in BEESKOW beside the supermarket and went to train station to catch the first regional train to FRANKFURT an ODER. There we had to wait for few hours for train to Poznan.
We took this train to SWIEBODZIN, where without my knowledge at a time is the biggest statue of Jesus in the world, even bigger then the famous one in Rio de Janeiro. We were there mostly in the waiting room and went for a short walk so I haven’t gone outside of the city to see the statue.
There we jumped on a regional train to POZNAN; beautiful city I know from last year’s EURO football championships.
We were in Stary Rynek, when I got a message from two students that we can stay with them tonight if we have no other options. It was first time on this trip I have used couch surfing and it worked even though it was LAST minute request posted by my friend in France.
We spent the evening with our hosts getting to know each other and as they studied I was working on their computer…
It was a great day and as I got a lot of info from tourist office, I was hoping to do a lot tomorrow…
